We have to remember that 21st century stress epidemic. The upside of it for anxious people is the the digital world is full of great mindfulness apps, good for busting stress, worry and panic. Some popular free apps include headspace, calm, and smiling mind. But trying out a few until we find one that works for us. Making sure we download a few of the exercises so that they are accessible in offline mode and taking our headphones with us when we leave our houses, so we can build our own private mindfulness retreat wherever and whenever anxiety strikes .
