We have in our hands to raise the film from industry to art, and therefore we have to go to our work with seriousness, we must desire something, we must dare something, and we must not jump where the guide is the lowest. If the film as an art is not to come to the standstill, we must work to create a brand of style, a brand of personality in the film. Only from that can we hope for renewal.
